To be certified for NCAA Clearinghouse, you must:
1. Graduate from high school
By September 15 of your senior year, apply for the certification if you wish to participate in athletics freshman year at the college to which you are admitted. The Clearinghouse will issue a preliminary certification report when you have all your materials submitted. After graduation, if eligibility information is requested by a member institution, the Clearinghouse will review your final transcript to make a certification decision according to NCAA standards.
2. Earn a grade point average of at least a 2.00 (4.00 scale)
Only courses that satify the NCAA definition of a core course can be used to calculate your NCAA GPA. No special values are allowed for "+" or "-" grades. There are specific core courses that must be included.
3. Definition of a Core Course
A core course is determined by a list called the 48 H that is submitted to the NCAA Clearinghouse by the high school you are attending. Once approved by the clearinghouse and returned you may check the website for the approved courses.
Division 1
16 core courses:
4 years English
3 years mathematics( Algebra I or higher)
2 years of natural/physical science ( 1 year of lab, if offered at the school)
1 year of additional English, mathematics, or natural/physical science
2 years of social science
4 years of additional courses( from any area above, foreign language, or nondoctrine religion/philosophy)
Division II
14 core courses:
3 years English
2 years mathematics( Algebra I or higher)
2 years of natural/physical science ( 1 year of lab, if offered at the school)
2 year of additional English, mathematics, or natural/physical science
2 years of social science
3 years of additional courses( from any area above, foreign language, or nondoctrine religion/philosophy)
Division III
16 core courses:

4. Fee Waiver
The fee waiver is allowed if you receive a fee waiver for SAT/ACT Test. See the counselor for a fee waiver.

To qualify for Division I Eligibility achieve a combined SAT /ACT sum score that matches your core course grade point average and test score index.To qualify for Division II Eligibility you must earn a score of at least a 68 on the sum ACT or a combined score in the (CR + M) of 820 on the centered SAT with no less than a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
